Orgeat

Orgeat originally comes from almond milk, which is made by extracting the oils from almonds and emulsifying them with water. The almond tree was originally from the warm climate areas of Asia, from where the Phoenicians brought it. Its growth was later extended by the Romans, making it a typical Mediterranean tree.
We made our syrup by adding the essential almond oils, which give it a pleasant characteristic flavour.
It is an ingredient which is widely used in a large variety of tropical cocktails, the most well-known being the Mai Tai.
