What to eat with tequila. Pay attention to these pairings.

Tequila can have a large variety of flavours: from sweet and mild to spicy and smoked.

Here are some foolproof combinations for you to try and if not…well, everything is about experimenting! Here goes:

🥃🌮 Tequila and Tacos: Both from Mexico, a formula that cannot fail. The fresh and spicy flavours of tacos: barbecued meat, carnitas (pulled pork), chicken, or fish… with the complexity and warmth of tequila. Wow!

🐟 Ceviche: A dish of fish marinated in lemon or lime juice, with onion, coriander and chili. The citric and spicy flavours of the ceviche highlight the flavours of the tequila… Can you imagine the delicious combination?

🧀Cheese: From mild and creamy to strong and mature. Goat’s cheese, blue cheese or a mature cheddar cheese are popular options that can balance the flavours of the tequila with their richness and texture.

🥩 Grilled meats: Steak, ribs, and chicken, especially if they are marinated with Mexican flavours such as lemon, garlic and coriander. The smoky flavours of grilled meats can work spectacularly with tequila.

🍫Chocolate: Especially dark or bittersweet chocolate, its flavours contrast with the sweetness and complexity of tequila.

🍍🥭 Tropical fruits: Such as pineapple, mango and papaya. Options that you also find in the variety of Sanz Purefruit purées: Pineapple, mango, wild berries, passion fruit, and strawberry.

One of our favourites is with pineapple or mango 🍍🥭
